7 OCTOBER 2025: Dr Matt Shaffer, the newly appointed CEO of Dairy Australia, popped in at Narrawilly Farm recently to meet with Rob and Milton's other local dairy farmers Brian Anderson and Leon and Carl Murray.

During the meeting with Matt, the Milton dairy farmers had the opportunity to share their feedback about the local sector's challenges, their perceptions of Dairy Australia, as well as the types of support and services they'd like to see from the organisation going forward.
All of the farmers present appreciated the time Matt took out of his schedule, while on a road trip between Sydney and Bega, to meet with them. The significance of the visit wasn't lost on these locals, and one of them was heard saying that it was possibly the first time a Dairy Australia CEO had ever visited Milton to meet our local dairy farmers "where they are."
