Intent on getting the highest level of support for a fair price for dairy milk, Rob and other dairy farmers tried but failed to speak to Prime Minister Scott Morrison during his morning visit to Nowra on the NSW South Coast on Friday, 15 March 2019.
As the Prime Minister's convoy drove off, Rob called out that it is cheaper to wash a car with milk than it is to do so with water. Here's a report by Southern Highlands News on this particular interaction in Nowra on Friday morning.
Friday's interaction was the second protest by dairy farmers in 48 hours. On Wednesday, several Queensland dairy farmers gathered at a Coorparoo Coles store to protest the supermarket giant's decision to continue selling $1-litre milk.
